RALEIGH -- Activists in Raleigh are planning a Veterans Day celebration they hope will help lead to changes in the military's policy on gays and lesbians.
The rally to honor gay and lesbian veterans is planned today outside the office of U.S. Sen. Kay Hagan.
The event is one of dozens around the country organized by the gay rights group Get Equal. The organization wants an end to the so-called "don't ask, don't tell" policy that prohibits openly gay people from serving in the military.
Ok, the piece doesn't give a time or tell you if it the Raleigh office or not.
I have email Get Equal asking for more info on this, I have tweeted our NC leading LGBT activist with no response back.
Does anyone know anything about this event at all. How can we gather if these event are plan the last minute, and with no announcement. How can we show our support and number if our community doesn't know about them
Update got the info emailed all contact in nc
